It looks almost unreal because of the heavy contrast, as if it were photoshopped or taken out of a comic-book advertisement. It's strange, but there is something appealing about it. The model's dark makeup and expression are quite arresting.
I thin it's the pattern from the vail and those black lips and eyes that draw me into this photograph.
